The Right Bracelets, Rings and Watches for Your Hands | PAGE: 1 of 3
|
Different styles of hand accessories and jewellery are made for different hands. And when it comes to choosing the right ring, bracelet or watch, the shape of your hands and fingers is a major factor to keep in mind. Find out which designs to invest in, and which ones to avoid.
Short Fingers, Wide Hands
- Medium Bracelets. Avoid wearing very thin or very wide bracelets. They'll make your hands wider. Choose bracelets of medium thickness.
- Medium-Sized Rings. Avoid wearing wide rings as they will make your fingers look even shorter. Go for rings with medium-sized bands instead.
- Avoid Pinkie Rings. Never wear a pinkie ring (rings on your little finger) as it will draw the eye to the furthest ends of your hands and make them look wider.
- Oval or Round Stones. Oval or round stones in bezel settings that remain flat against your finger will elongate your fingers. Chevron and invisible settings work too. Avoid rings with large pronged settings, in which the stone is raised above the ring.
- Watches. Bracelet watches help lengthen your hand. Flattering watch dials for you are small, oval shapes. Avoid large, round or square watches as these will make your hands look even thicker.
