Zinc-Rich Food
If you suspect your acne is the result of zinc deficiency, you can start by eating more zinc-rich food. Zinc from animal sources like red meat, fish and poultry is more readily absorbed by the body than zinc from plant sources. Dietary fiber, particularly phytates, can reduce the body's ability to absorb zinc.

The best sources of zinc are oysters (richest source), red meats, poultry, cheese, shrimp, crab, and other shellfish.

Other good, though less readily absorbed sources of zinc include legumes, whole grains, miso, tofu, brewer's yeast, cooked greens, mushrooms, green beans, tahini, and pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
