Makeup to Upsize Small Eyes
Question:
I have small eyes which give me a sleepy look. How should I do my makeup to widen my eyes?
With the right makeup, you can instantly perk up small tired-looking eyes. Here's how:
Eyeliner
Don't use eyeliner to rim the whole eye - it just narrows it even more. Instead, define only the upper lash line, extending the line slightly past the outer corner of the eye.
Shadows
Go for light-toned shadows such as pale pink or olive to create just a subtle definition. Shadows with a slight shimmer also work great. Just use dark shadows minimally as they make eyes look smaller.
Mascara
Long, luscious lashes can really open up the eyes, so make sure you select a good mascara that lengthens as well as thickens. Curl your lashes three times - once at the base, then half way up, and lastly at the lash tip - before applying the mascara.
Eye brows
Skinny brows call attention to the small lids, so keep your brows fuller to draw attention away from the eyes.
