For lipstick, opt for vibrant hues with cool undertones like pink, berry and cooler red to make your smile look brighter. Don't be shy with color -- the bolder, the better! Lipsticks that are pale or have yellow or orange undertones (such as coral, peach and brick red), on the other hand, will play up discoloration and you should avoid them.
If you like darker cocoa hues, no problem -- just make sure they're blue-based like mauve browns, not warm brick browns. Likewise, for gloss, check that the shimmer (if any) has a cool undertone, i.e. silver, not gold.
A sun-kissed complexion can also enhance your smile. Brush on a bronzer (just a shade deeper than your skin tone) if your skin is looking sallow. If you prefer blush, stick to cool pink tones instead of warm peach.
