A scan of the catwalks will tell you that strong brows have made a huge comeback. But as dramatic as they may be, this season's full arches are more elegant than androgynous, more regal than edgy -- think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany's.
Here's how to pull off those sophisticated, strong brows:
Keep your brows kempt. Brows should be strong and clean, so grooming is in order: Brush your brows up using a brow brush and trim any extra-long ends.
Arch them. Your brows should have some shape to them, not poker-straight. Open up your eyes by going for a natural arch -- just tweeze away a few hairs (pluck sparingly!) under the highest point of your brow.
Opt for brow powder or pencil to give your brows that extra definition. Fill in the sparser areas using small strokes, following the direction of the hairs. Do go a shade lighter than what you'd usually use -- picking a color that's too dark will look harsh and unnatural.
Keep eye makeup minimal. Softly lined peepers and a coat of mascara suffice! Avoid dark shadows that will overpower your eyes and give you that "raccoon" effect.
Soften with pink. Strong brows teamed with a pink palette keeps your look soft, and not masculine. Try a pop of bright fuchsia on the lips as seen at Diane von Furstenberg. Or take a cue from Elie Saab Couture show, and add a girly flush with pink blush and a glossy pout.
