New York, NY, United States (AHN) - John Travolta and Kelly Preston are expecting a boy. The couple, who announced they were expecting just this past May, confirmed the news to People.

On August 8, the two celebrated the happy news with 40 of their closest friends at a baby shower in their home.

The shower featured a blue three-layer cake from baker Dorie Kinney and the intimate outdoor gathering was decorated with a bird's nest theme by Lady Liberty Catering and Event Planning.

The shower - and news of a baby boy on the way - marks continued healing and new joy to look forward to after Preston and Travolta's son Jett's death early last year. Jett suffered a fatal seizure and died in January 2009 at age 16.
