wat do u mean by self matching of invoice to packages? havent we been helping em match all these while by citing box number when we send in invoices?

cos of wat AE will kenna, my current feeling is dat the CIF computation change is such a negative dat it overwhelms watever other positive changes!

its gonna be so much harder to confidently escape gst in the future.

noangel, should be fine but say if the processing takes long n it cant be processed by 13th, it will just go into next batch. i myself may be ordering mjr (if by free shipping deadline, a nice wool coat in my desired size n color appears hehe) and if so, 50-50 chance wont make it for this batch, knowing mjr looooong processing.

think shiokz refers to how vpost sometimes takes awhile to match packages, especially those where merchant name differs eg. the recent wgs

sure olaf. they claim to be quick though (otw candy will MELLTTT )
haha hope you manage to get your wool coat.

edited to add: do you think 2 boxes of very sweet chocolates of 72 pcs each box is too much?

haha i have a sweet tooth but i think 2 boxes makes me sound/look gluttony.

i don't think they melt that easily. US now having authum/winter so should be fine within US.
then by the time reach SG, won't sit in warehouse too long right?

and noted about post 2.

yeap like how vpost always got problem identifying the right invoice to match to the right box and all we keep having to call/email to tell them to match properly.. v waste time.. sometimes up to 2 days wasted in correspondence.

now the system allows you to match invoice to box yourself! olaf u can log in and press 'vpostUSA' on top of the page, then on the left column there's a link that says 'self-matching' or something.

actually nowadays there is possibility dat may end up in sg storage longer. cos recently vpost havey randomly shipped packages to sg even before we make payment.

sg weather being wat it is, i think just a ride in back of speedpost van can result in meltdown already.

u think carefully...

shiokz, ah i see, i must have missed it last nite or the feature just been added (perhaps there will be even more changes updated these few days), yes its useful and time saving indeed, vpost must be sick of us calling em also haha.

BUT still it doesnt make me feel any better about the CIF derivation .

sg storage longer.. not sure how this will adversely impact the chocolate, warehouse quite cool right?

good point about the van. my friend did bring around 1 12pc box of the same chocolate from pasir ris to NUS then i brought it back east again but travel was via mrt. chocolate was not adversely affected.

olaf, if you don't feel comfortable sharing vpost due to the possibility (can't guarantee 100% it won't melt) of melt and kanna the other packages (also can't guarantee melt won't cause damage to box/leak out etc), i understand.

do advise further

normally i will think "wont so sway one" (someone sent me exquisite chocs from US before with zero melt - funny story, few years back, i helped a gal i knew from yahoo auctions purchased shipped to her in US a box full of cheapo chinatown cheongsums and she then mailed me the chocs as thank u) but seems like recently, murphy in love with us, keep haunting us.

my gut feeling tells me its best not to toy with fate till luck changes but the other sharers like purple, mel, ping should have a say too. wat say u gals?
