I am already at my 5th IPL session at my armpit... it's already almost gone. Only coz me S$800 for 15 sessions.

My 4th IPL session on brazilian area... it's pretty effective.. and hair is finer.

So, those who don't really see results after 1st or 2nd session.... my advise is to stop everything. But if u already paid for the sessions, u probably might want to sound it out to ur therapist.

Just wanted to share..

IPL is painfullll... like rubber band shooting you! *piak* I cannot take it for long so i switched to something else my colleague recommended.

For those who has low pain threshold like me, I strongly suggest you try Variable Pulsed Light (VPL) instead. A little pricier but seriously worth it! Not pain at all lo!

The result for first treatment was not significant but by the second treatment, regrowth is very much slower and pits whitenend hee. Now i am at my fourth treatment. Satisfied :))) *beams*

I went to an aesthetic doctor instead of the salon, so he enlightened me that there is no permanent hair removal solution but significant hair reduction which requires periodic maintenance. Nevertheless, saves me lots of hassle and time tweezing every night lo. mine grows back very fast, like the next day.

you can read more about vpl at my clinic's website, quite informative.. www.atlasmedicalclinic.com

good luck! ;)

Talk about cheap.. I think this is the cheapest. I just tried my first trial yesterday at toa payoh.. its painless and they even let me try their free slimming product.. very nice and warm service staff..

They are very popular with air stewardess.. i always see alot of those singapore airlines girls there doing their eyebrow embroidery..

My experience at Jurong East Spa Ziwi was a good one.

Get to know about them through a friend recommendation & also found good reviews at various forums.

So I decided to make an appointment with Sally for a trial session at $68 as per recommend for my leg's hair removal.

During and throughout the whole process, the therapist Sally makes me feel comfortable.
She will start off with taking a look at how much leg's hair you have, follow by shaving them off and applying a cold gel before she starts to snap the IPL on your leg.

She will start with a not so high power to see whether you can take the pain level and increases the power accordingly. In my case, the pain was quite bearable, just slight ant-bite pain.

The whole process took about 30 minutes.

What I like about Spa Ziwi & the therapist Sally is they are not pushy, aggressive or do hard selling. Sally will only recommend products or treatment to you when you ask her about it.

To date I have done 6 sessions of leg IPL with them and my leg's hair is almost 90% gone.
Not to mention, the leg are also fairer + smoother.

For those interested, they can be reach at 66650233.

I am currently undergoing BRazilian IPL and underarm IPL. Paid 2.4K for 8 sessions in total. Now going into 4th session. As I dislike hair a lot, I cannot comment on whether hair growth is lesser cos a bit of hair already seem a lot to me.

Unlike any dermabrasion techniques, IPL does not damage the outer layer of the skin. It also doesn’t use a focused light that can severely injure the skin tissues. Instead, a broader spectrum of light beam is used which can give a controllable light and heat energy to a specific area. Because its damaging effects are minimal to none compared to laser, a rejuvenated skin is obtained without the ugly burns and blisters.

hope this helps!
