with the intro of the perk points, its obvious some members are now posting like mad just for the sake of gaining points.
in an hour's passing, i hit "active topics" and there can be 10 pages of new posts! its all well if the posts are of quality, genuinely seeking information, of useful contributions etc but many a times, its just "nothing", a waste of time and effort to enter thread from reader's point of view. have even noticed member/s systematically digging up old threads within a section and replying to each of em pointlessly (well except the obvious lar haha).
very tempted to name nick/s but i shall resist for now, i am sure ur team already knows who.
the sheer number of new posts hourly/daily is overwhelming so unless i have lotsa free time on my hands and in the mood to be hardworking, i am mostly reduced to just straightaway clicking on spree section once i log on and then leaving.
sorry kent i cant moderate away the "not alloweds" effectively if i am skipping 99% of posts.
i know the increased traffic is good for sls from biz point of view so scrapping the perks reward is probably out. however, i hope there is some way to revamp the perks structure/system to weed out the members posting furiously with pointless data simply to gain perks > vouchers.

hi olaf, you don't have to moderate all the other sections all the time, as we have some more people doing so already
and yes, we are just about to roll a system that determines the quality of the users posts (ratio of useful vs non-useful posts) and it will auto deduct or even reset points if the user is obviously digging threads and spamming around. also, length of posts will be checked and taken into account as well. this is to make it fair for all the new members who actually contribute useful material to the community
btw, if you come across any obvious posters who are posting just for the sake of points and not for the better of the community, please PM me the nicks, thanks!

Please follow the rules below:
Use the FULL product name (e.g. The Body Shop Nature's Minerals Foundation) as the subject of the posting.
Write your review/ verdict of the product you are raving using good English.
Please search for your product before posting. If existing raves about the product has been posted, add on to that posting instead of creating a new topic.
Please do not post questions or enquiries about a product within this section.
a heads up...the makeup and skincare rave sections are not being used according to the rules stated above.
i am noticing query topic threads, questions/chitchat within threads.
any action to take?

yes, we are removing the wrong postings for the raves sections, qns / chitchats within there should be ok for now, as long as the topic starters start it off right. points will be deducted from people who obviously do not read instructions and start wrong topics in the raves sections - as well as those who blindly answer to the wrong topics
