Hi.
for all these years, I do not have the habit of blow drying my hair.
but recently my friend was telling me that it is better to blow dry the hair.
i have short hair currently and the ends tend to curl up. what is the correct way of blowing such that it will not curl up?

why is it better to blow dry? i never blow dry it except at the salon. cos it makes my hair all frizzy and dry.

Think your hair has natural curls at the ends right? If it's the case think you use a straightener instead. Btw you blowdry in downward direction right? If you blowdry and brush your hair forward or backward then will curl.

i think the brush that you use affects too. the round ones would curl more

From what I usually discover from salons is that they will use a brush with the hairdryer, and then slowly blow down the hair together with the brush.
But it will definitely require some practice cos' it may be difficult to juggle with both the dryer and brush :P
Or if you want it simple, just blow it in all directions, flipping your hair with your other spare hand. Don't put the dryer too near your hair though, it can hurt and damage your hair!
Btw, I don't have the habit of blowdrying my hair either, even till now. Haha. :P

let your hair grow longer, then straighten them with a hair iron..

blow it using a brush. pull ur hair down slowly using a straight-type brush (not the round one) while heating or blowing it. However blowing your hair will not cause your hair to be straight for very long. it will not last unless u straighten it. and anyway blowing ur hair too often will make it very dry and reddish in long term so try not to do it v often..

I don't have the habit but my mom always does cause she've short hair. i think it doesn't matters for long hair people? and take note that the hair dryer must be a distance away from your scalp if not, it will hurt your scalp!
