Hi, anybody using amla oil? I've bought one but I found the smell is very strong. My hair is stronger though, so I would like to continue to use it. But I was wondering if there were brands with less strong smell. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, It's an oil for hair made of a kind of berry. So it's all natural. A friend recommended it to me. I've been using it for about 2 months now and my hair is much stronger and softer now. It's very well know among Indian people. You can find it in Indian groceries, but the one I bought is made of amla only and the smell is really strong.

not exactly true.

from wat i read, such oil is not pressed from amla fruit (indian gooseberry) per se. not same as say olive oil extraction.

its more like amla (sometimes together with other ayurvedic herbs) infused into another oil or combi of oils.

as such, "amla oil" can be all natural or not. all depends on what are the base oil/s used and other ingredients added.
check the ingredient list carefully before purchase.

Occasionally, I will use Olive oil for hair. Hair will look glossy and smooth after wash. I seldom use hair conditioner and being superseded by olive oil. Does Amla oil has the same effect?
