yes u can.
by the way, cafe section is more for general misc topics dat cant fit into any other specific sections.

ps. oh i dun feel mod mr fallen was rude. i am guessing somehow the way you phrased your queries reminded him of past offenders' tactics and so he was being pre-emptive, just in case u know. if you dun have hidden agenda, there is nothing to worry about. just take note and graciously move on. :)

Here is the Suspension/Banning Q&A thread that I mention previously.

If you have no idea where to find it..just scroll to the top of your web page browser, it can be found in any of the forums.

Look at the Thread title, above got the ShoppingLifestyle Forums / Ice Breaking Section text, just click on the respective forum (in this case ice breaking section) than you should easily see the thread.

You may want to read up Updated Forum Guidelines if you want to know how to stay clear from trouble.

If you have a clear conscious, there's nothing to worry about.

But if you have any to begin with, drop that idea. That thread has clear examples of past advertisers who mask their intentions, only to be caught in less than 48hrs of act..

I see more registrations of offenders than the actual numbers of genuine users in SLS, thus my approach is different, that you have already experienced.

Warning given is just to protect this thread from any advertisers, and encouraging open sharing on any helpful information.

FYI: I adopt the Singapore Law practice: You* are guilty unless proven innocent; the same strategy to keep offenders at bay and not the other way round like in other countries contributing to higher crime rates.

* - Refers to all new SLS forum users, and not particular targeting you.

Unless you are by law, a certified lawyer, I will admit that I am ignorant and truly mistaken in regards to your belief that Singapore Law practices the conviction of "Guilty unless proven innocent".

As with all law, sufficient evidence is needed to even start suspecting that someone is guilty of something.

I do empathise your predicament, but I honestly found your approach offensive and rude. It would be nice if I was treated with the benefit of a doubt and humane respect that I am truly as I am: someone new to forum and confused with all the different tabs and regulations, by someone like you who represent this forum and Shopping Lifestyle SG.

Real Life Example of Differences In Law Treatment:

Read up past record of Russia Diplomat Hit & Run News in Singapore..

He purposely travel back to homeland to be in Court and not to be in Singapore, for fear of our local Law practice which is guaranteed conviction (go jail) with all those witnesses,

Only Singapore govt need to give face to Russia govt only, thus close both eyes due to them insisting of the Diplomat Immunity despite the fact the car got no flag at the time of incident, govt suck thumb have to let him leave.

That is facts. Whatever I say, I back myself up with facts.
Do you have any to begin with in the first place?

If you feel offended in anyway, you are free to other places, SLS will not tolerate any individual who attempts to test the system, we do not accept trouble makers, or individuals with potential to be trouble-maker.

Word of advice: Anywhere you go, be it online (internet) or offline at work, always survey the surroundings and observe the rules. It is your fault, and you can't deny it.

Just an example: If I commit crime, aged above 21, get caught by Police, I can't say i don't know right? They still get sentence me to fine or go jail depending on the seriousness of the crime, they don't give chance. No choice have to suck thumb and admit it is my mistake.

Even at night, after Midnight hours, police go on Night Patrol, random spot-check also will ask you where you are heading and check NIRC, that's standard procedure, hello..they will wake up anybody who sleeps at void-deck fyi to prevent trouble-makers.

That's Singapore, and that's life, and how things work.

You can only make rules when you are entrusted with the authority to do so, so until you climb all the way up there, you can only obey and agree. Just like working in a JOB (Just Obey Boss)..

With or without you, SLS will continue, so either you follow the rules and guidelines, or take your leave. We will still continue to provide useful information to help other users who are willing to comply to our reasonable guidelines.

Since you take it personal, that's your thinking. We can't do anything about it.

I have done the best I could in explaining my perspective and where i'm coming from.

I've being helpful only towards all users who proved to be here for the same purpose of free sharing, and that's what we are protecting.

We will still welcome you with open arms into SLS nonetheless, but you need to know your position if you want to hang around.

Pardon me (Kent and Olaf) for being too direct, I've seen my fair share of people in real life and online when I'm attempting to talk to them nicely, but it always falls on deaf ears, thus my hard stance towards such people.

I do seek your understanding. Let me know if I do go over the line ya, I'm still learning everyday..
