to xiaoniu : hehe i also cow (chinese shen xiao); end of season type so = lazy cow. i jus wanted to confirm c u lil cow or lil girl. if opportunity for earn bit bit pocket money work frm home, i maybe will tackle. already helped one friend do research plus data entry n another friend do filing; pro bono only.
to dollfin : my ears r made for listening so no pai se bout pouring out your worries or grievances to me. anytime ok? e doc is in! mayb can provide "older" point of view hehe. your results cant be as bad as mine; imagine i took 4 n half years to finish 3yrs course. many Es n Fs along e way. interviews r very scary cos kinda beyond your control sometimes. at least dress appropriately n arrive 10mins b4 appointment lor. u hav wine&dine fo company. wish u both luck!
"me not workin" directly affects financial situation so its a fundamental issue. so of cos i "settled" w him b4 signing on e dotted line. for marriage to work mus make sure both parties' fundamental beliefs n wants on e same frequency. love, lust, physical attributes no enuf! dont get me wrong, those r impt too, especially in e beginning. i started w my hubby cos he was "taken" (very bad habit of mine), tall enuf (i hav a thing for big tall men. anything below 1.8 is short. 1.8-1.85 ok. 1.85-1.9 ideal. he is 1.83m), weird lookin but not ugly (to me, more interesting than classic gd looks), he already loved n knew me well (i was already into reclusive passive stage of my life, no inclination to start afresh n go tru e "getting to know" dating thing. he was frm my uni n we had 2 previous brief "episodes"). later, i agreed to marry him cos my parents like him very much n he had no problem immersing in my family activities (as u know frm my earlier postings in tis thread, i'm very close to my parents), he is an animal person (i mus hav pets around), he has no religion (me free thinker), he ok w no kids (go read story about my "dream" n my baby phobia), he agrees to me being "housewife" n seems suitable for "cheap" lifestyle, he is engineer so career more or less stable (one income so if he stays unemployed for long then die), he is a willing lover (i fully condone pre-marital sex; suitability in tis area = one less problem). n my parents had hand in "forcing" my marriage decision. they knew i will not be able to take care of myself, i was too dependant on them. they had to "chase" me out. they asked me when, i told them though he has settled his 'problem', he has incurred sizeable debt due to it n predict need 2yrs to clear debt, 2yrs to save up again for marriage, total 4yrs lor. too long for them so they employ scare tactic : they were gonna sell e house n emigrate to australia (i was not included in plan), i will be left alone in singapore (my younger brother was away studying in melbourne)...they even dangled monetary carrot to help pay for flat/reno. i fell for it, bought resale flat, got rom-ed. e 'emigration" talk stopped. thanks to them, i got to enjoy my "son" (our dog) few years early.
lest u r mistaken, my hubby has handful of faults too. those dat i knew about b4 marriage, i decided i can handle n accept them. those dat surfaced after marriage (like road rage), i am helping him overcome them.
wonder y he married me though, he like not getting anything practical out of it. if its jus out of "love" n cos i am cute, i should be worried. haha...too lazy to do dat!
