i also hate ajisen ramen
i think it's overpriced for the way it tastes.
the bowl might be large and all..
but really..
i feel i'm eating wanton mee sometimes.
it doesn't taste jap AT ALL.. 
and, i still think it's too expensive for this kind of taste..
haha

totally agree...
it's not nice...
bt if you travel overseas.. pls do visit it.. cos when i was in shanghai. it's totally different super nice.. =)) 
omg.. feel like eating it.. but miss shanghai de ajisen

Ajisen Ramen is bastardised and twitched to suit local tastebuds IMHO. The texture of their ramen is not even close to the authentic ones I tried in Japan - FAIL!

I had an unpleasant encounter at the J8 outlet too.. There are better alternatives for ramen of better quality.. i like Santouka ramen! Their ramen is nice and the soup base tastes much better than Ajisen. It's supposedly serves authentic ramen from Hokkaido. Thumbs up! But still. Ajisen isn't that awful either.
