stayed in thai cozy house before. pretty nice location~ in khao san... whereby there are shops that sell different things during day and night... swensen & 7-11 across the road, very convenient...
rooms are pretty decent.. pretty cheap too coz it's more like a backpacker hostel kinda place... pple there very friendly... i stayed there whenever i go BKK... since i always go F&E...

2) Which are the wkend or night market that u all recommand? Isit true that patphong is not recommanded as the stuff are expensive?
>>> Weekend market go to Chatuchak. Night can go Suan Lum Night Bazaar.
3) Can i still bargain @ those 199bhat shop or wkend/night market?
>>> Don't think can bargain at 199baht shop (so cheap liao!!!). But weekedn/night market can.
4) As we are staying for 5Days, How much S$ wld u all recommand me to change to Bhat?(exclud hotel charges. wana shop shop & shop ) BTW, wld the rate be higher to change in Spore or Thai?
>>> Er, change as much as you want lor..hahah!
Those markets and 199 shops take cash only. Use cards at the shopping malls. So better change more I think. Also, some places if you pay cash, they may give discount. But how much leh, you have decide la. Rates I think Singapore is better. Those times I change in BKK seems not so good lor.
5) Anibody just came back from there? isit safe?
>>> My guy colleague just came back, like ok wor.
So happy shopping! Shop till you drop!!

haha... frequent visitor? can say so bah... whenever we go... we usually take several room at one go de... so.. they do kinda know us le... LOL...
i've stayed there... for... 2-3 times? can't remember...
no. of times go bkk = no. of times stayed there
at the time we went... usually we were charged not less than 700baht, but now room occupancy higher le, not sure got increase a not~ (we usually choose the NO window one... coz if want window, more expensive. LOL)
can try going to their webby to check pricing bah
Oh~ usually we just call them to make booking... we never pay upfront one... only checkin then pay...
LOL... not that kind... not run down at all... very clean de... and pple there friendly.. just dun have those facilities that u'll get when u stay hotel lor~ if u expect a simple room, basic needs nia... then it should satisfy u...
bedroom just air-con, bathroom, fridge, dressing table, bed, tv... something like that nia lor~
as for exchange rate, personally, i think change there better... at least, that was what we did. brg singapore currency, and change there only when not enough~ walking distance got money changer le~
bargain wise... usually we quote abt 40% or so... then slowly increase back lor~ hee

Ya, depending on desperate u want the item, i normally ask them to quote 2nd time first before i lower by 40-50%.
for me, i go bkk not for holiday but mostly work, so only limited time to shop.
since it's your 1st time there and not sure if you will like the shopping there (surprise! there are some who cannot stand shopping in bkk! ) you can bring more SGD to change there instead of changing all here.
