The hotel looks not bad leh! But I think location wise, it's not in town. If I recall correctly hor, it's actually quite a distance from the central area but nearer to airport.
But there's train station nearby and cab is probably like 15mins ride.
Maybe you can give feedback after you have stayed there? cheers
Just recalled...think there's a nice spa nearby - Let's Relax(Blooming) Spa. Pretty decent!

hmm.. should start slashing by 1/2 first then work ur way up... but nowadays, the sellers there can be quite attitude too.. if u slash too much and dun wan to give in, they oso wun be bothered to sell it to u.. so do compromise.. the old trick of walking away hoping that they will agree to the price u wan doesn't really work anymore..
think they are too fed up with ppl always bargaining till their goods dun worth much..

honestly, u dun need a really good hotel since u'll be out shopping most of the time..
Asia is good due to its location..
we went to wtch the cabaret..nothing fascinating.. the tix is 1,000baht if i'm not wrong..
seriously, i dun recommend it although we got to watch it for free (thai fren is the manager of the cabaret..keke)
i've not stayed at Samran but it's not as nea to the BTS as u imagine..cuz we went to recce while we stayed at Asia..it's abt 15 min from the BTS/skytrain
for bargaining, u shld slash 2/3 to 1/2..but they dun seems to be willing to slash the prices these days.. esp on sunday at chatuchak...
guest house is a good option..
u can get a room at 40+ for a twin sharing room..located opposite MBK..
i never tried before but my fren told mi that here's quite a few near MBK..think it's call Wendy's lodge or something like that..prices goes as low as 10 per day..depending on the type of room u are taking
kit, i think it's ur first trip here rite?
so i suggest u bring abt 600..? ur size is much smaller than mi.. shld be able to buy alot of stuff..(if u dun mind that the material isn't that fantastic)..try the guest house..i'm thinking of trying the guest house in my next trip..

fishy, ya..
first trip there, excited..
Think my frenz is trying to book 1 guesthouse call 'white lodge guest house' which is near to siam square..
1 night around 500baht(twins room)..
so 1 nite 1 ppl S$10?
around there..
air tickets(2-ways) S$160..
Looking for alternative first..
Like wendy guesthouse, also nearby..
but around 600plus bahts..
look like bangkok quite diff frm changmai..
Chiangmai is they allow ppl to slash more during weekend than weekday..
