Hi all, i realised that there are quite a feel questions bout HCMC n not all ppl r answered properly so would like to share a few experiences from my trip.

When u reach, touters will be ard. Taxi drivers. Be firm on how much u want to pay n bear in mind after u r done bargaining, the price includes USD2 for exit of air port or dey will ask u for extra.

Currency. Most places will want their own viet dong but places like hotels, airport n trips will require certain amt of USD.

If you are confused as to where to go, you shld head to the tourist information centre on ur first day n the ppl will help u plan ur trip. Their English is good. Cos u ight find that most places unless u speak Viet, u won't get anywhere.

Shopping wise, nothing much to shop for but u might wanna check out the whole sale market in district 5 as Bien than market in district1 tend to be a little more expensive.

I will recommend clubbing there cos no cover n drinks r cheap. Places i went to r Apo calypes (u will find local gals der waiting to be picked up), Gossip (vitnamese style disco tech), Lush(personal favourite as dey play rnb n i prefer e crowd, clean, young n non trashy). Cards r accepted.

Massage is cheap but do watch out that dey do ask for tips n some might juz tell u hw much dey want so be sure to keep so notes in one pocket so dey won't fleece u. Fyi tips are solely for e massage gal n at times e owners r nt ard when dey demand more tips so do be careful.

Hope these help
Its weird how fr strangers we became frens, fr frens we became more dan dat n suddenly, back to strangers. Weird.
