A promotor recommended Rosehip oil to be applied before tea tree oil on acne area. She said that it can be used on whole face before applying lotion on face. True enough the lotion absorb faster with Rosehip oil. Anybody uses Rosehip oil? Do you think can lighten/remove freckles or age spots?

marche, why are u posting this in love relationship section? (moving it to skincare in a bit)
rosehip seed oil is one of the few oils i really cant stand the smell of hehe - it makes me gag. doesnt help dat mine is the unrefined cold pressed version of cos. i bought it for butt use; intending to diy stretch mark cream.
i have read dat some acne prone skins cannot use rosehip seed oil in higher concentration as it can increase breakout potential.
so, i play safe dare not apply it this way thus far.
its a minor ingredient in my regular moisturizer though, in low % (guessing 1% range thereabouts based on its position in ingredient list).
here is a write up on rosehip seed oil by mountainroseherbs :

if u google around, i am sure u can easily find more info.
oh yeah, remember to store in cool place. i keep my bottle in the fridge and also added vite/roe antioxidative mix to hopefully extend its shelf life a lil more.
due to its high lino acid profile, its prone to fast oxidative rancidity. shelf life 6-12 months.

Oops, I was not aware of posting to the wrong section. I was reading some post in love relationship section and then created a new topic after that. If in future, such thing happens again, what should I do to forward to correct section?
Acne pops out once a while but my skin is rather dry, so after apply moisturer or thicker cream on top of rosehip, my face looks more radiant. Noted shelf life is up to 1 year. But sad to say left half bottle due to accidental spillage, so to use up less than a year should be no problem.
Will look into the website. Thanks!

Hi Laurahill, I agree that tea tree oil is good for acne. I do have a pure tea tree oil. I feel too harsh to skin if apply directly. The promotor recommended to coat a layer of rosehip oil before apply tea tree oil. It's good. The brand for rosehip oil is A'kin. It doesn't come with strong "oil" smell. My sis has very sensitive and get acnes easily. Now with this application, her blemishes and scar lighten and less acne.
