HEY ppl, i think the health promotion board is really creative in using the space to bring forward a health message. They decorated mrt stations staircases to encourage more ppl to "walk their way to fitness". I think its a great idea! Because of that, i actually climbed the steps today before taking train! and afterwards, i felt better abt myself cause according to them,i've burnt 5x more calories? unbelievable? hahah...

I think walking is really a good way to lose weight. Look at those people in Hong Kong. It seems like all of them are so slim. Why is that so? I think it is the regular walking, of which a lot is up slope too that they have to do in their day to day living. Probably we Singaporeans are too pampered and hence our body show too.

yea i think because other countries are bigger so from point A to point B, they need to walk more..and there are also more slopes in comparision. could u imagine if one day they remove all the escalators in the mrt stations and replace them to staircases, would everyone take the lift? then the staircase will have ppl keep to the left also so that the right side will allow ppl to rush for trains if needed. haha...walk our way to fitness!

I always use the stairs instead of the elevator, aside from the elevator traffic..I also want to burn pounds..My classes are on the 4th and 5th floor so I just take a stair going up and down..
