HINT HINT can someone help call vpost tomo n confirm dat under new rule, seperate orders from same merchant are counted seperately when it comes to CIF?
and also dat the 14days free holding starts counting from "after processed" (ie. ready for payment) or god forbid, starts from the day package received at vpost - cos the wordings in T&C unclear and now under the self match link, vpost does state clearly which day package was received. |

olaf, i called up vpost too this morning, but my office internet been down the whole day, so cannot update. sweetp got the same answer as me...
But i also check the GST calculation issue, i pointed out that we were not informed regarding this new changes via email, so it's unfair for us to pay GST as we did our maths to avoid GST, but vpost changed the calculation secretly... the CS only replied and insisted that this shld be the correct way of calculate CIF. so all along they are using wrong format till recently... and there's nothing she can do in our case...

purple, the GST calculation is bad news indeed...
did you tell them that they should honour the old method of GST calculation since you ordered based on that and there was no prior notice about this 'wrong' way of calculation that it might be changed?
mel: thanks for being honest and i understand. will email merchant to double confirm on whether it is 1)shrinkwrapped and 2) how they will pack.

update on email reply for packing for cherries
You may add an ice pack for an additional $1.50.
The box is shrink wrapped so that if there is some leakage with any of the candies, it would not affect anything else in the shipping box.
we try our best to ship with bubble and packing peanuts to protect during transit.
The Cella's will be shrink wrapped and they will try to ship with bubble and peanuts (i'm guessing bulky)
Will you all feel ok with sharing vpost? I can pay for the icepack too but i'm not sure if it will help by the time it gets to SG

Besides the small box, I seen box ard 41 X 32 X 33.5 (7.33kg)...maybe is the next level.
After that is 53.5 X 44 X52.5 (20.6kg) {not applicable here coz this is large, mb for couple of shoes throw in shipment).
Finger cross...accessories do packed compactly.

purple, its true dat their old method was weirdly much too kind. just too bad our timing coincide with the change. anyway, i be pm-ing or msn-ing u n mel.
noangel, shrink wrap sounds ok but can u still try request for em to put the meltables in plastic bag before packing into main box? ice pack hmmm i agree wont have much use beyond a couple days.
