hmmm could it be different card registered accounts have different rules? the one i posted is from comgateway original site (for my dbs cg account). i have hsbc ideals cg also i think but never use before. then i read there is ocbc cg too?
under hsbc ideals page, if i log in tru "start shopping" and not "start shopping via personal IB account", i am also linked to charge list with increased prices (ie. i am brought to cg main site). mel, u logged in tru ur bank account is it?
update : ok think u logged in tru http://www.comgateway.com/COMGATEWAY/com.creditel.comgateway.vshop.home.Home.do?bank=HSBC
while i tested with logging in tru
http://www.hsbc.com.sg/1/2/hsbc.ideals
anyway, u best live chat with cg to confirm which exactly is the most updated/correct charge list n also clarify about the cif whether is old method or new method.

Nope I login through cg website but it'll lead me to hsbs interface instead.

Will live chat with them later when I've more time coz they always make me wait.

this is the ocbc cg tie up called shoponline. base starting from usd11?!? (i know there is 15% disc till end of 2008)
update : paiseh, see wrongly, the usd11 is before adding on usd4.50 for first kg. means ocbc cg is same as dbs cg.

Just live chatted with cg & the cs was very prompt in answering my qns ~ prolly well trained for that. Below some extracts of the conversation:
Kate: Hello, welcome to comGateway's help desk. How may I assist you?
Me: Hello Kate
Me: Can i clarify on the shipping rates for comgateway users?
Kate: You may refers to the CGW charges website
Me: so which means 1kg = USD15.50?
Kate: Yes that is correct
Me: but i've always been charged 1kg = USD14?
Kate: Please note that since 1st Nov, the shipping rates revised.
Me: But there's no email announcement to inform all users about it?
Kate: A moment please. I am checking on your query.
Me: Because there's bound to be users who utilize comgateway service without knowing the revised rates, that's like so unfair...
Kate: Please note that on our website, it states "We may change our freight charges schedule for our secvices from
Kate: *services from time to time"
Me: But it should be basic courtesy to at least inform users officially to prepare them for the upcoming changes instead of updating it 'secretly'.
Kate: We are not required to notify customers via e-mail. We appreciate your feedback regarding the changes. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Me: That's so surprising... even vpost informs us of changes!
Me: Anyway, another thing to clarify
Me: assuming I've USD150 worth of items going to comgateway...
Me: do i just take usd150 times by custom exchange rate to determine if i'm liable for GST?
Kate: Please note that aside from the declared value, the weight of the package will also affect the calculation of liable for GST
Me: you mean the weight as charged by comgateway?
Kate: Yes that is correct
Kate: You may refers to our website
Me: so the value will be total value of my purchase including US shipping + international shipping?
Me: okay so the previous method of value * 1.245 * exchange rate is no more applicable as well?
Kate: Yes that is correct
Arrrrghhhhhh

...first vpost sprung surprise changes n now cg also follow same bad habit...yes yes i know there's always this "no need inform" disclaimer but still its just bad cs! even if we hardworking check daily for changes, we are not safe since there's bound to be time lag between time we order and when we get billed.
