When it comes to age and libido, you've probably heard that a woman's sex drive supposedly peaks when she reaches her thirties. While experts seem divided in their opinion on this, a recent University of Texas research suggests that the thirty year old sexual peak does have a ring of truth to it.

The researchers found that women aged 27-45 have a heightened sex drive and are more willing to engage in a variety of sexual activities, including one-night stands and adventurous bedroom behavior. And compared with those in the younger age groups, these women are more likely to experience:

• Frequent sexual fantasies
• Thoughts about sexual activities
• More intense sexual fantasies than their younger counterparts
• A more active sex life and willingness to have a one-night stand
• A willingness to have casual sex

The real question is, why the 30s? Since more women are waiting to have babies until their 30s and 40s, experts believe it's nature's way of making you conceive before it is too late. It's likely that older women have a heightened libido in response to their dwindling fertility to capitalize on their remaining childbearing years, according to the researchers. On the other hand, it may also be due to the fact that a woman finally feels comfortable enough with both her body and sex itself to let go of her inhibitions by her 30s. Either way you see it, lovemaking does get hotter and better as you progress!
