The Grammy-winning singer Kylie Minogue recently hinted that she fears motherhood has passed her by, but she's not alone. More and more young women are choosing careers over love, and putting marriage and children on hold. In fact, a recent study conducted by Catherine Mosher of Duke University Medical Center and Sharon Danoff-Burg at the University of Albany showed that men are more willing than women to sacrifice achievement for a romantic relationship. (More than 61 percent of men prioritized romantic relationships while only 51 percent of women did the same.)

We take a look at some of the other female celebrities who may be in danger of missing out on meeting Mr. Right and starting a family the natural way.

Jennifer Aniston

We thought she'd hit the jackpot when she married Brad Pitt but sadly it wasn't to be. There were rumors that their marriage floundered because she wasn't ready to start a family. Since then, Jennifer was had a string of relationships but none have seemed serious enough to lead to re-marriage or children. In 2009, she was quoted as saying, "I'd like to be a mother some day and I love children. You start your life with expectations and dreams, then life unfolds and it doesn't always turn out the way you imagined." She reiterated this earlier in 2010, saying "I hope I've reached a point where I'm ready to enjoy being with a great man and having a family together." We'd love for Jennifer to achieve her dream after seeing her ex start a family with the 'other woman' (Angelina Jolie) but now that she's past her thirties, has the actress missed the boat as far as having children goes?

Cameron Diaz

She might be 37 but Cameron Diaz isn't feeling the effects of her biological clock. In the June 2010 issue of Instyle magazine, the actress is quoted as saying, "Having children changes your life drastically and I really love my life. Children aren't the only things that bring you gratification and happiness, and it's easier to give life than to give love, so I don't know". We don't know if Cameron will come to regret that sentiment further down the line but it's refreshing to see that she's not selfish enough to demand that children fit seamlessly into her life.

Eva Mendes

She's been in a relationship with current boyfriend, George Gargurevich, but at 36, Eva Mendes isn't in any rush to settle down. In 2007, she described marriage as being "a very archaic kinda thing" and admitted that children may never be a part of her plans: "I don't wanna have kids ... they're so cute but I love my sleep so much and I worry about everything." In a 2010 interview with W magazine, she seemed more indecisive, saying "I've never had a longing to have children. I've been thinking about it lately because it's like, 'Oh, god, am I going to do this?' I don't know is the answer."
