Health claims

These include "Low In Fat", "Heart Healthy" and "High In Fiber" labels you often see on food packages. Such health claims are usually displayed on the front of the package, rather than at the back (where the food label is). Health claims are a helpful cue when it comes to selecting healthier products, but sometimes they can be misleading. Because their claims are based on per serving, if you eat a large portion of, say, ice-cream that is "Low In Fat", the total fat you're consuming can quickly add up.
