- 2/3 cup light soy sauce
- ¼ cup mirin
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2/3 cup beer
- 2 pounds beef steak
- In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, mirin, vinegar, sugar, ginger, garlic and beer. Cook over high heat until the mixture reduces by half. Let cool.
- Marinate the steak in teriyaki marinade, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat grill.
- Grill steak, turning over once, until cooked through, about 17 to 21 minutes, depending on the desired doneness.
