Teriyaki Steak

Ingredients: (Conversion Chart)

  • 2/3 cup light soy sauce
  • ¼ cup mirin
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2/3 cup beer
  • 2 pounds beef steak

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, mirin, vinegar, sugar, ginger, garlic and beer. Cook over high heat until the mixture reduces by half. Let cool.
  2. Marinate the steak in teriyaki marinade, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  3. Preheat grill.
  4. Grill steak, turning over once, until cooked through, about 17 to 21 minutes, depending on the desired doneness.
