To alleviate back pain, experts advise moms-to-be to practice gentle core stability exercises that'll strengthen muscles, reduce lower back discomfort and help support the increasing weight of their unborn baby. Get started with these simple moves:

Warm up

  • Start by sitting on a chair or stability ball, with your shoulders relaxed and hands by your side. Practise inhaling and exhaling. You should breathe normally instead of holding your breath. As you exhale, bring your belly button inwards towards you. Then, relax your abdomen as you exhale.
