3. Raw meats

It is important to avoid raw and undercooked meat, poultry and seafood during pregnancy. Undercooked meats can carry salmonella, e.coli, and toxoplasmosis bacteria, which not only can cause food poisoning, but are also associated with miscarriage and preterm birth.
