Top 5 nail problems solved – with these nailcare fixes.
Nail Problem 4:

Polish Chipping

PROBLEM: Typically, a manicure should last about a week. If yours starts to chip much sooner, you might be applying polish the wrong way.

FIX: When applying polish, be sure to brush over the edge of the nail tip. This helps prevent nail polish from chipping. Do apply two to three coats of polish thinly because thicker coats tend to peel more quickly. To protect your manicure, wait until the polish has dried completely before sealing it with a layer of top coat. Reapplying top coat once every two to three days can further extend the lifespan of your manicure.

Nail Problem 5:

Hangnails

PROBLEM: A hangnail is a loose narrow strip of skin attached to the base or side of a fingernail or toenail. Dry skin, picking and biting your nails, exposure to harsh detergents and chemicals are all possible causes.

FIX: Don't pull or bite on a hangnail - this may cause additional skin to tear and lead to a painful infection. Instead, trim using nail scissors or a nail clipper, then rub cuticle massage oil, lotion or cream into the cuticles at least once a day.
